As an experienced investor and entrepreneur, Andrea has been at the forefront of investing at the intersection of venture, disruptive technologies and applying a lens of intentional investing. Andrea has invested across climate tech, sustainable industry, agtech & future of food, automation & robotics, future of work, among other areas. Notable investments include Air Protein, Arix Technologies, Einride, Evrnu, Helaina, Innerplant, One Concern, and Diligent Robotics.
Andrea co-founded Plum Alley Investments, a NYC based venture platform in 2016. She’s scaled the firm to $75M+ across SPVs and Plum Alley Venture Fund I, where Andrea serves as a General Partner. The firm has engaged hundreds of investors including family offices, institutions, and underrepresented investors, particularly women operators, founders and board members.

Previously, Andrea founded a fintech start-up focused on engaging women investors. As a former investment banker, she spent more than a decade on Wall Street spanning expertise in enterprise software, fintech, energy, infrastructure, and Cleantech 1.0. Andrea also helped scale a hedge fund of funds to $300M+ and sat on the investment team for the firm’s investment selection, portfolio management and capital raising activities.

She’s a sought-after speaker on intentional investing, disruptive innovation, and diverse investors and founders. Her work has been featured in Barron’s, Harvard Business Review, Inc., Fortune, NPR, New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.

Currently, Andrea serves on the Innovation Institute Board at Tulane University, the Tamer Center Board for Social Enterprise at Columbia University and is a former Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
